Armored Core 5
« on: August 22, 2012, 08:09:13 AM »
Does anyone play Armored Core 5?  It went on sale at gamestop for $40 and I was thinking of getting it but I hear that it is mainly an online game, so I was gonna see if anyone else has played, or plans on playing this game.

I really enjoyed the Armored Core games but I haven't picked one up in years... I'll wait until the next incarnation arises and sharpen up on my skills and then I'll show you what giant robots are all about.

Don't the scene died quick and no one plays anymore. Which is saying something because Armored Core fans are a dedicated lot. It has a lot of good ideas they are just executed terribly like territories. There are also too many broken ass parts parts and builds in the game. If you do play it, just make sure you join the right team and don't take it too seriously.

I never saw AC as a competitive game anyway. It IS a lot of fun, however. I can't tell you how many hours I've spent painting a mech. It's gross.
